This painting is created in response to music about conflict, and is inspired by the experience of a post industrial Eastern European society and subsequent migration to the west. This is a piece of abstract mark making which is an intuitive way of expressing emotions and creating objects or characters. The painting creates an infinity symbol that features a range of industrial constructivist blocks and lines. While this image is a representation of newly found harmony, it is born out of a chaos and a rebirth, which is why there is almost an explosion from its centre.
